Luxury Automaker to Transport Celebrity Attendees and Display Exciting New Vehicles throughout the Festival
Napa, California (October 07, 2014) – Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) Co-Founders and Directors Brenda and Marc Lhormer are proud to announce Mercedes-Benz as the Official Automobile Sponsor of 2014. Mercedes-Benz takes a starring role in the five-day celebration of the best new independent films and sneak previews of awards season contenders, screened in 12 beautiful venues, paired with Napa Valley’s finest food, wine and hospitality, in Napa Valley’s postcard-perfect towns of Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga, November 12 – 16.
The Napa Valley Film Festival will showcase Mercedes-Benz’s reputation as a worldwide luxury leader who seamlessly blends elegance and innovation in everything it does. As the Official Automobile Sponsor of the Napa Valley Film Festival, Mercedes-Benz will have a strong presence throughout the Valley. Predominantly featured as a cornerstone of the Napa Lifestyle Pavilion (at 500 First in downtown Napa), the Mercedes-Benz Theater will show off the luxurious S550 and C400 sedans. Additional vehicles, including the all-new 2014 B-Class Electric Drive will also be showcased at key festival red-carpet events and locations including the Traditional Home Culinary Stage in Yountville; the Celebrity Tribute Program hosted by Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush at Lincoln Theater in Yountville; the extravagant Festival Gala; and at the Late-Night VIP Party at Groezinger in Yountville. Celebrities and film industry VIPs attending the festival will have access to the exclusive Mercedes-Benz special fleet throughout the festival.

Mercedes-Benz will feature prominently at The Festival Gala on Thursday, November 13. The Gala is a highlight of the 2014 Festival, where attendees can enjoy a taste of culinary offerings from 30 of Napa Valley’s top chefs, dance to a variety of bands and DJs, meet filmmakers and other talented artists, and grab a glass of wine from over 25 world-class wineries. Mercedes-Benz is will also sponsor a new event at NVFF – Variety’s 10 Producers to Watch Awards on Saturday, November 15, at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena. Ten up-and-coming Producers will be recognized along with actress Shailene Woodley (The Fault in our Stars, Divergent, The Descendants) who will receive Variety’s Indie Impact Award at the event. Variety Executive Editor Steve Gaydos will also be conducting a “Contenders Conversation” with Mr. Kevin Costner at the event, who is attending the festival with his new film Black and White and receiving the NVFF Be Visionary Screen Icon award at the festival’s Tribute Program on Friday, November 14. A special screening of The Fault in Our Stars will spool Sunday, November 16 at 10:00am at the Uptown Theatre in downtown Napa, and Ms. Woodley will be in attendance for the Q&A.
